What this covers
This policy explains what information Tellship ("we", "us") collects when you visit tellship.com or contact us about a build, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
Information you send us. When you email us at code@tellship.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message — typically a description of the system you want built. We use this to scope, quote, and deliver your project, and to reply to you.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not run analytics that profile you.
Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When the page loads, your browser requests those font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and communicate about your project.
- To scope, build, ship, and maintain the system you commission.
- To keep records we're required to keep — invoices, contracts, tax records.
- To protect the site and our systems against abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.
Client project data
Building a commerce or Odoo system sometimes means accessing your store, database, or hosting environment. We access client systems only as needed to deliver the agreed work, treat credentials and business data as confidential, and remove our access when the engagement ends unless you've asked us to stay on for maintenance. Specific terms for a project are set in that project's agreement, which takes precedence over this policy for client data.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence and project records for as long as needed to deliver and support the work, and afterwards only as long as required for legal, accounting, or tax purposes. If you email us and we don't end up working together, you can ask us to delete the thread.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to records we're legally required to keep. Write to code@tellship.com and we'll respond.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting active clients will be communicated directly.
